Taking Things Very Personally?

Everybody, at some time, takes things personally but for people with Sensory Perception Sensitivity (Highly Sensitive People) it can be a large part of everyday life, extremely draining and lead to social isolation as a way of protection.
There are two flower remedies which can help relieve the emotional discomfort of taking things very personally.
White Chestnut is perfect for when you're replaying conversations over and over again, whether it was a negative or a positive experience. HSP's tend to read between the lines a lot. It can feel intense because your brain processes information and meaning deeply and analyses the actual or imagined consequences in great detail. White Chestnut calms the mind, it's easier to control your thoughts and worry is replaced by trust in a positive outcome.
The second mental state you may find yourself in is worrying that you've upset someone, even if you haven't, and then feeling guilty about it. HSP's are so tuned in to other people's body language that they are aware of the most subtle changes and signs and can be quick to blame themselves for the changes in the other person.
Pine is the remedy for feelings of guilt and self-reproach. It enables you to accept realistic responsibility and transforms feelings of self-blame into self-approval, self-respect and self-acceptance.
Both of these remedies can be taken singly or combined if both states are present.
