Difficulty Saying "No"?

Kindness and the desire to help others are natural human qualities but, as with any positive behaviour, if it becomes extreme those qualities have a detrimental effect on our health and wellbeing.
Difficulty saying "No", being anxious to do the right thing and to please others can be a sign of insufficient personal boundaries and lead to being taken advantage of, manipulated and bullied. In turn this can lead to low self esteem, frustration and in extreme cases, depression or other mental health issues.
Personal boundaries are the limits you set on things like how people can treat you and what they can expect from you. They are based on your values and beliefs and also influenced by your life experiences and social environments.
Some people find it difficult to say "No" in certain situations e.g. at work, or within a particular relationship and there are some people who have this as a character trait (a "people-pleaser") and it's apparent in all areas of their lives.
If you recognise yourself in this description, there's a flower remedy to help you. It's called Centaury.
Centaury turns the negative aspects of submissiveness, passivity and allowing yourself to be imposed upon into their positive aspects of strength of will, assertiveness, inner strength which doesn't rely on anybody else and the ability to meet your own needs.
